Sometimes I feel like I need too much from people... and I expel so much energy trying to pretend I don't. I feel sickened by my uncanny ability to slip into the given role, to fade into the scenery, unable to focus. I know my family loves me... So I've been in Chile for almost three weeks! I can hardly believe it... my Spanish has not improved much yet. It has been 7 yrs since I studied it and I never did a lot of speaking. So it's been a pretty full month. Just got back last Sunday from spending time at Lake Michigan in Indiana, about 15 minutes from Uncle John. I blissfully was able to spend copious amounts of time with Margs and Nena.
